Knight Rider coming to the big screen

According to various sources, the popular 1980s TV series Knight Rider is being brought to the big screen by producers Harvey and Bob Weinstein. The TV series made Glen A. Larson (also known for Magnum PI, Battlestar Galactica, the Fall Guy, amongst others) and David Hasselhof famous. The original Knight Rider series ran from 1982 to 1986, and had a cult following.

The Weinstein brothers have recently left Miramax the studio they founded to form the Weinstein Company. They have been looking to TV for inspiration, and have produced movie version of Welcome Back, Kotter and The Equaliser.
